The 2019 Ford Ranger: powertrain & off-road package

Under the hood of the all-new 2019 Ford Ranger lies a 2.3 L 350 hp EcoBoost direct injection turbo engine, the same one found in the Focus RS and the Mustang EcoBoost. This engine will be paired with an automatic 10-speed transmission and will include Auto Start-Stop technology.

Off-road enthusiasts won’t be disappointed with the new 2019 Ford Ranger. It can be optionally equipped with Trail Control™, making it possible to control the speed of the truck over rough or rocky terrain by adjusting acceleration and braking to maintain a constant speed. Another optional system, Terrain Management, will allow you to modify acceleration and gear changes according to 4 predefined modes: Normal, Grass/Gravel/Snow, Mud/Ruts or Sand. Finally, the FX4 off-road package, featuring specially designed all-terrain tires, will let you monitor the pitch and roll of the truck, as well as the steering angle of the front wheels, on an 8-inch touchscreen, while bash and skid plates protect the undercarriage against impacts. The 2019 Ford Ranger Raptor

The 2019 Ranger Raptor has been unveiled! This muscular, aggressive version of the Ranger features several modifications, including a steel bumper, tie-downs in the front and rear of the bed, flared fender wells, LED exterior lighting, Fox Racing shocks and 17-inch wheels, just to name a few. An imposing Ford logo dominates the grille of the new 2019 Ford Ranger Raptor. Under the hood is a 4-cylinder twin-turbo engine, capable of unleashing 210 hp and 369 pound-feet of torque. For die-hard Raptor fans, it still remains to be seen if this version will be available in Canada next year!
