Compact, but powerful, the new 2019 Ford Edge doesn’t hold anything back on the road. Equipped with a 4-cylinder Ford EcoBoost engine, it unleashes a stunning 250 hp and 275 pound-feet of torque. A rotary gear shift dial controls the new 8-speed transmission from the console, providing better access to the rest of the controls on the dashboard. And you won’t have to worry about reaching your destination, especially with the standard all-wheel drive.

Ford has integrated the very latest technologies in this crossover. These include a 180° rear view camera that is self-cleaning with the push of a button, a wireless smartphone charging pad in the center console bin, red dual-LED tail lights that are brighter than traditional halogen lamps, and an optional 12-speaker B&O PLAY™ sound system by HARMAN. Additionally, it’s now possible to connect up to 10 devices simultaneously, thanks to the built-in Wi-Fi access point. Last, but not least, the Ford Edge, like most Ford vehicles, can be controlled remotely through the FordPass app, which can unlock your vehicle, help you locate it or help you find nearby parking spaces. • Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection can activate the brakes to decrease the severity of frontal collisions or even prevent them entirely.
• Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go regulates your cruising speed according to that of the vehicle in front of you. With the Stop-and-Go feature, your vehicle can come to a full stop if the traffic in front of you is dense and then automatically resume your cruising speed once the traffic starts moving again. A big advantage during traffic jams!
• Evasive Steering Assist enables the 2019 Edge to help you perform an emergency maneuver if the vehicle in front of you brakes suddenly. Radars calculate the distance between you and the other vehicle and provide steering support to help you avoid a potential collision.
• The Lane-Keeping System warns you by vibrating the steering wheel and, if necessary, even steers the vehicle if it veers dangerously off course.

The all-new 2019 Ford Edge ST

Thrill-seeking drivers will be thrilled with the Edge ST, which, as it turns out, is the very first SUV to be modified by the Ford Performance Team. With an aggressive grille, ST-tuned suspension, paddle shifters, firm bolsters for sharp turns, and leather-trimmed seats, the ST version was inspired by the racetrack, and it’s easy to see why. Under the hood, you’ll find a 335 hp V6 EcoBoost engine, providing 380 pound-feet of torque, also combined with the new 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.
