The very first Ford Ranger appeared in 1983. With production on hold since 2011, this model is returning in full force for 2019, completely redesigned, with a rugged off-road profile and a handful of the latest Ford technologies. Reinvented, with the DNA of the toughest of the tough, the new 2019 Ford Ranger will be equipped from motor to wheels to take you beyond your wildest dreams!
Under the hood of the all-new 2019 Ford Ranger lies a 2.3 L 350 hp EcoBoost direct injection turbo engine, the same one found in the Focus RS and the Mustang EcoBoost. This engine will be paired with an automatic 10-speed transmission and will include Auto Start-Stop technology.
Off-road enthusiasts won’t be disappointed with the new 2019 Ford Ranger. It can be optionally equipped with Trail Control™, making it possible to control the speed of the truck over rough or rocky terrain by adjusting acceleration and braking to maintain a constant speed. Another optional system, Terrain Management, will allow you to modify acceleration and gear changes according to 4 predefined modes: Normal, Grass/Gravel/Snow, Mud/Ruts or Sand. Finally, the FX4 off-road package, featuring specially designed all-terrain tires, will let you monitor the pitch and roll of the truck, as well as the steering angle of the front wheels, on an 8-inch touchscreen, while bash and skid plates protect the undercarriage against impacts. The ideal choice for all your outdoor activities in the mountains or on rugged terrain is, without a doubt, the 2019 Ford Ranger!
The 2019 Ford Ranger will have your back at all times with a host of safety features, including the Blind Spot Information System (BLIS®) with trailer coverage, adaptive cruise control, which adjusts your cruising speed according to that of the vehicle in front of you, the lane-keeping system, which alerts you whenever you begin to drift out of your lane, and Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection, which will brake the vehicle in the event of an emergency, if it determines that a head-on collision is imminent. All optionally available, these driver-assist technologies will ensure your peace of mind while driving, no matter what the road conditions may be.
With an 8-inch touchscreen, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility and the SYNC® 3 infotainment system, the Ford Ranger has it all. The 2019 Ranger Raptor has been unveiled! This muscular, aggressive version of the Ranger features several modifications, including a steel bumper, tie-downs in the front and rear of the bed, flared fender wells, LED exterior lighting, Fox Racing shocks and 17-inch wheels, just to name a few. An imposing Ford logo dominates the grille of the new 2019 Ford Ranger Raptor. Under the hood is a 4-cylinder twin-turbo engine, capable of unleashing 210 hp and 369 pound-feet of torque. For die-hard Raptor fans, it still remains to be seen if this version will be available in Canada next year!
