So the Ford Explorer will come with three options in powertrains: the 3.5 L V6, which deploys a solid 290 hp and 255 pound-feet of torque; the 2.3 L 4-cylinder turbo, which offers 280 hp and 310 pound-feet; and the powerful 3.5 L V6 turbo, which can unleash an imposing 365 hp and 320 pound-feet. The intelligent all-wheel drive Terrain Management System will enable you to drive on any type of road while the vehicle optimizes the distribution of power to the wheels according to the conditions.

The 2018 Explorer: elegant and connected

The 2018 Explorer now comes with a 4G LTE WiFi connection that will allow up to 10 devices to be connected at a time within a radius of up to 50 feet from the vehicle. And when you download the FordPass app on your smartphone, you’ll be able to lock, unlock and start your Ford Explorer remotely. As for safety? This crossover will be equipped with blind spot monitoring, lane-keep assist, forward collision warning and adaptive cruise control.
