The Ford EcoBoost engine

The Ford EcoBoost engine combines turbocharging and direct injection to produce power equivalent to that of a big engine, while exhibiting impressive fuel-efficiency. It offers a perfect balance of efficiency and power. The EcoBoost engine is available on the 2017 Focus ST, the 2017 Fusion and the 2017 Taurus, as well as on select crossovers, including the 2017 Escape, the 2017 Edge, the 2017 Flex, the 2017 Explorer and the F-150.

Available in the 2017 C-Max Hybrid and the 2017 Fusion Hybrid, Ford hybrid technology enables these vehicles to switch seamlessly between the fuel engine and the electric motor to provide optimum energy efficiency according to current road conditions, vehicle speed and driving style. The regenerative braking system automatically recharges the battery, which doesn’t need to be plugged in.

These two vehicles, equipped with a fuel engine and a plug-in electric motor, allow you to take short trips in all-electric mode or to activate a combination of both engines for high speeds and extended trips. Maximize your battery capacity by plugging your vehicle into a 120 or 240 volt outlet and get ready to go a very long distance non-stop.

All-electric vehicle

Ford is proud to offer you the 2017 Focus Electric, an all-electric plug-in vehicle that will never require a single drop of gas or oil. Rechargeable with the aid of a 240 volt Ford brand terminal, the Focus Electric offers a range of approximately 160 km, in addition to the ability to rapidly recharge the battery to 80 percent capacity in just 30 minutes.
