With its modern silhouette and efficient powertrains, the Ford Escape probably won’t undergo any major changes for the 2024 model year. It’s fitting to add that the vehicle’s contemporary profile, which the automaker reworked, along with some of the engines, in 2023, doesn’t need much in the way of modifications in order to please its fans.
The presence of hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains is another major asset for the compact SUV, which has enjoyed unfailing success over the years. As a consequence of the growing demand for eco-friendly vehicles, it’s likely that we’ll see increased production of these versions with very few changes for the 2024 model year.
Even the cabin is unlikely to present more than a few new features, as it already boasts all the latest Ford technologies in the realm of infotainment and connected systems.
Since the 2023 model year, the Ford Escape has offered an ample 13.3-inch touchscreen in the center of the console. It displays information from the SYNC 4 system, the latest generation of Ford’s trademark infotainment technology, which includes full Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, as well as Alexa and the most precise voice commands in the industry. It even enables electronic updates over the airways.
For the 2024 model year, it’s likely that the biggest changes will be in the area of safety. In fact, the little Escape, like other Ford models, may offer the Blue Cruise hands-free driving system as an available option.
Most of the Escape’s available engines, which Ford upgraded in the 2023 models, will remain unchanged for the new model year. The 1.5 L EcoBoost, the 2.0 L turbo and the hybrid powertrains shouldn’t see any changes in terms of power. The only possible exception is the plug-in hybrid, which might benefit from an increased range, although Ford hasn’t yet confirmed anything.
However, the automaker will probably retain the new designations chosen in the 2023 model year. Consequently, the Escape will continue to be available in Active, ST-Line, ST-Line Select, Platinum, ST-Line Elite and Rechargeable Hybrid versions. A few new colors may make an appearance, but we don’t expect much more than that.
While it’s still too early to know all the details regarding the changes anticipated for the 2024 Ford Escape, you can count on Solution Ford to keep you informed.
